At AxisGeek, we are committed to providing helpful and unbiased information about 3D printing. We think that 3D printing is one of the most exciting technologies on the market today. We encourage people to jump in, but we want you to be well-informed when you do.
Our product reviews
We frequently review 3D printers and related products. Our goal is to give you solid information and trusted advice so that you can make the best choice for you.
Our philosophy is that product reviews must consider the buyer’s needs. What may be a great 3D printer for a novice might be a terrible device for the serious hobbyist. So all of our reviews clearly state what type of buyer we are reviewing for, focusing on the features most important to that buyer type.
We do extensive research before we publish a review. We listen to others who have used the products, because long-term reliability is difficult to ascertain in a lab environment, and we look for common themes. We accept loaner devices from vendors and other sources, always returning the devices once our review is complete. In short, we learn as much as we possibly can about a product before we write a review.
How do we make money?
If readers choose to buy products we review, we sometimes (but not always) receive an affiliate commission from the retailer. We want you to buy a 3D printer after visiting our site, because we think 3D printing is great and we sometimes profit when you do, but we don’t have a vested interest in which 3D printer you buy.
We do have a vested interest in being a trusted source of information. We do accept advertising, but we are not tied to any vendor and maintain a strict policy of objectivity when it comes to our product reviews and editorial content.
