3D printer maker Airwolf 3D is set to launch a new dual extruder device, the Axiom 2, according to TCT Magazine. The new 3D printer, which is based on the currently shipping Axiom model, features dual extruders and is designed to support unique material combinations for advanced 3D printing applications.
To do this, the Axiom 2 independently controls the temperature of two separate hot-ends. This allows it to simultaneously use two different materials that require different temperatures, such as polycarbonate and ABS.
Additionally, the new device boasts a large print envelope (12” x 8” x 9.5”), auto-leveling, an “easy feed” filament load system, and more.
The Axiom 2 will retail at $4,995 and will begin shipping in early March.
