Colorado-based 3D printer maker Aleph Objects today announced the release of its latest model, the LulzBot TAZ 6. The TAZ 6 features a large maximum build area, innovative self-leveling and self-cleaning, and a modular tool head design for flexible and multi-material upgrades.
Like its predecessor the TAZ 5, the LulzBot TAZ 6 supports open source principles and is targeted toward intermediate and professional users. The device is engineered for versatility, with support for more than 30 filament materials built in. Available tool head upgrades include the Flexystruder, which allows for printing with flexible materials, Dual Extruder, to print with two different rigid filament materials at once, and FlexyDually, to utilize rigid and flexible filaments in a single print.
