3D printer maker MarkForged made its name two years ago by launching the Mark One, a 3D printer capable of printing with high-strength materials like carbon fiber and Kevlar. Now the company has introduced its next generation printer, the Mark Two.
The Mark Two boasts a 40% faster fiber printing process, the ability to reinforce features 15 times smaller than before, and a number of other incremental improvements designed to enhance the overall user experience.
The machine uses two print heads. One that builds nylon parts while the other reinforces those parts with continuous fiber. The Mark Two comes bundled with Eiger, the browser-based 3D printing software produced by MarkForged. Pricing starts at $5,499.
